Aberdeen 1 Celtic 3

In the early 80’s it was fortress Pittodrie, when auld red eyes was in charge. The nineties came and gone, after Aberdeen sacked Alec Smith, Pittodrie held no fear for traveling hoops as regular humpings were dished out to a succession of hapless Aberdeen managers.

Nowadays the Aberdeen support; that still has delusions of grander, the appointment of Tango and Sash was one, which was welcomed as a step back to the glory days. Last seasons 3rd place finish above Hearts of Lithuania countered with their terrible start this year has made them jumpy to say the least.

After they produced a decent first half against a not at the races Celtic side, the game returned to type after half time. Aberdeen, grimly defending against a free flowing Hoops, were being pinned back and ripped open by creativity that was missing from Celtic in the first half.

So when Miller scored the goal to put us 2-1 up, a goal when I thought this ploy of trying to walk it in to the back of the net was making me go gray, it came as no surprise that just after it, Gordon was involved in an altercation with a jobs worth steward.

So what was Gordon’s crime? Taking abuse for 70 odd minutes, and then deciding to celebrate a goal, which was going to win us 3 points or did he commit the hideous crime of stealing the auld boy’s sweeties who was sitting right behind his dugout?

Here is the footage of Gordon's crime.

Did you have the same situation as me at our 3rd goal? Which Miller? 1-3 or 2-2? :-)

Senior Baldy's Sky went belly up today so was struggling to watch fuzzy pictures with poor reception so often the game to me was very stop-start. Can't really comment on how much of the game went as the screen would freeze in th emiddle of a move and I would have to change channels and then back to regain picture.

Just so happy with three points today. After a European match I am just happy to win and today I was ecstatic with our performace in the last 20 mins.

WGS - today you were a star and I firmly hope Lawell and Quinn support any appeal made on your behalf and chase out this nonsense which he has had to suffer in the past few weeks.

I did notice that Gordon (there that will make the CQN collective happy, I used his first name) was often in conversation with the 4th official. I wonder if this had any bearing with the ref's decision to make him walk the long walk? Did the 4th Officail say something as well? No matter what, Gordon Strachan deserves every single Celtic fans support against these morons who seem hell bent on hounding him at present.

Kenny Miller - excellent finish. Anyone else notice how this season he is more often going into the box rather than the channels? Hopefully this will pay massive dividends for him and ultimately us.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend

Ian- i have posted the goals..sorry about the delay MrsG wanted me to go out for curtains with her..

But i had setanta vision so i had no trouble knowing it was oor kenny.

Baldy- Gordon like the rest of us i think was complaining about the ref's strange decisions..tackles from behind were allowed by the dons but not for us.etc

But today i agree he was quite right and listening to what tb was saying he was only sticking up for what was right.

Look at the footage, the auld gadger sitting at the gate tells oor gordon to feck off...

oh a wee mention to the support again...brillant.....
