celtic v hearts

Watch these highlights and ask yourself does this look like a 9m goalie?

I fear Keano has been on the bevvy wie Bryan Robson, Lee Sharpe and Norman Whiteside.

Makams beware.

NO signings then I see. Hhhhmmmm Do not know how I feel on that one.

I actually think Gordon is a better keeper than most down here. Remember The English have Robinson as their No. 1, who is so bad that there are serious calls to bring David James back into the squad.

Carson is probably the best of their younger keepers but for some reason McClaren won't give him a go while he is not number one at the Pool.

The Man U guy who was at Watford last year, Ben something or other, had a fair few howlers last year, Robinson's goal at White Hart Lane being the most obvious, is in a similar position as he is not considered first choice at his club.

I hope Gordon plays really well as it will reflect well on our players and their value, so hopefully means we will get more money when we punt any of our squad, including Deeks who is a million pound player by virtue of being part of our first team squad.

Seriously if Gordon is worth £9m, how much is Artur worth then?

I think Artur could look at the goal he lost against Rangers at Celtic Park last season. All goalies have unfortunate moments.
Sunderland will be under pressure this season and they will need a good goalkeeper. They have found it hard to sign players from the EPL so going to another league for an established internationalist is quite clever.
MOTD, 10.15pm on Saturday. It`s fine to be a neutral occasionally. Watch out for the yellow shaded area on the pitch. 8~)

I would like a convincing win against Falkirk, please. Total domination in all areas of the pitch with a good number of goals. It is time.
Come on the Bhoys!

If I had to 'pick' an English team, it would be Sunderland. My Bro's God father is a Mackem, so when the likes of Gary Bennett and Clive Wilson were down at Highfield Rd, we would go to see them.

Hope that they do stay up not least due to the Celtic connection there, but it would be nice to see some stability there after a number of years of yoyo-ing.

Am in Glasgow for the World Pipe Band Championships on Saturday at the Green - my antipodean cousins are competing so Clan Baldy is making the trek up to meet and greet. Are there any child friendly bars which show Setanta in the area? I have a feeling that I am on a loser with this one but asking just in case.

I know I'm near the Barras etc, but they won't allow kids in those bars will they?

Baldy- no signings, well i'm happy that we just didnae sign someone for the sake of it but unhappy at the reports this lunchtime.

But more of that tonight....

I'm not saying that Gordon is a bad goalie, in fact i think he is a very very good goalie who will do well doon sooth, which will reflect on this league..but

he is prone like all goalies to the odd howler, which he makes more reg than Boruc. The makems will need to be prepared for great performances and some heid shaking howlers.

the price tag is an albatross round his neck and he will feel the pressure.

i agree wie yer assessment of the state of the english goalies baldy..when james is in line for a call up it's bad..

do feel ben foster would have been man u 1st choice this season thou..

ian- i would love to see us gubbing the bairns tomorrow...the e-mails i have had from fawkirk fans this week, i feel deserve payback..

Baldy i have i soft spot for liverpool..but would like to see keano do well to enhance it credentials to become a hoops manager

i'm racking ma brains for a pub baldy...was doon there a few months back and think you might be better heading along clyde street back into the toon..ah...o'neills in the merchant city does food wie a big screen..children allowed i think...

Strange days these - if Monsieur Doumbe was that good, we would surely have signed him just after the cup win?

Fair enough we need a full back, but I thought we were after a first choice not somebody who is, at best, on a par with Naylor and Wilson.

A good win is needed tomorrow to get some sort of feelgood factor back before our wee trip abroad.

Oh, and hopefully self policing and common sense will take care of the rest.

Enjoy the game, ghuys (and ghalls)!
