Same Sh*te....Different Season.....Useless 0 Killie 0

Must admit, i find it hard to write this match review. You see i've always hated maself for not trusting the manager, esp when i was quite happy he was appointed...but there was just something....cheap option..i just don't know what.

Today, i found maeself, 52 mins in, wishing Kenny Miller would come on, now we are bad when that happens. Today, i thought i was back in the old jungle watching Mark McNally punting baws to Brian O'Neill or Wayne Biggins. Bottomline is both those players would have been better than Vennegor of Hesslelink today.

The guy is no John Hartson, today in the first half, a baw across the top allowed the big fellow a chance to get between the defender and the goal, instead he was shoved off the baw, big Hartson would have fired the bloke on his arse and scored. Mate, yer six feet odds and over 12 stone, i think, stop being a lightweight.

Nampy pampy upfront, we could still be playing the now and we would still not look like scoring, nae creativity at all and worst of all, for me, two subs that border on the puzzling, that back up ma fears that oor biggest problem is going to come from within.

Now, after watching them yesterday i wisny worried. Today, i'm bricking it. Clueless, Moscow...we couldnae beat Motherwell, on that showing, never mind a decent side. Nae Riordan, the manger takes off oor best player and leaves the best beard grower in Ecosse on the park and brings on another lumbering oaf for us to hump aimless baws too.

And they wonder why we have doubts? Any harbouring over why we have doubts should have been dispelled in the second half today. We didnae have a clue..oor management didnae have a clue.

I want to come away from a game wie a bit of hope in ma heart. Today i came away no believing that we could be worse than last year, nae hope, nae positives. If we had missed barrowload of chances, then fine, if we played well then fine..nae improvement from last year is what i didnae want to see.

Now i'm going to say this, i want it to come back and bite ma arse but GS won't last the season if that's the fare he is going to serve up. If they or anyone get well in front of us then GS will walk the dosh he has spent and the squad he has got means we shouldne be struggling at home against Killie. The managers shortcomings where their for all to see today. His jacket is on a shaky nail no matter how his record stands up. If we lose the league to this r*ngers team then it is a sacking offence.

Strange thing is that oor bus was great on the way home, the patter, the banter was top as was the jungle bhoys banner display. As the Beatles once said "When we are in times of trouble, mother Mary comfort me, speaking words of wisdom let it be"

It's a long and winding road but i wonder who will speak words of wisdom to oor manager?

Forza

i agree with most of it as well.

there was no shape or creativity especially in 2nd half.

riordan again not even on bench, donati being subbed, brown out on right, strange decisions.

i watched rangers yesterday and through the week and had no fears but after today i am concerned.

for some reason we just don't look like scoring which is shocking considering the squad we have to pick from.

i think mcdonald will make a difference, we were unlucky he was suspended but thats not an excuse we should still be winning these games.

we were in this position this time last year but still had our 2 main signings in jvofh and tommy g to come but more worryingly this time is the fact i think we have made our big signings.

hopefully todays performance will force us to bring in a few more asap.

i have never seen such a toothless celtic team...why magic started after his poor pre season is beyond me

we try to score the perfect goal..naeone will have a go...take responsibilty

yer right seven..i reckon any signings will be just window dressing...shaun wil improve that team but the others?

rioirdon..will be knocking on the managers door today...looking for a taxi number to the midlands..

Concentrating on the manager. Back to back leagues have been won with significant points gaps; brilliant! However, questions must be asked of his man management with some of the higher profile signings. I name Jarosik, Gravesen and Riordan. Show me a Celtic fan/supporter who wasn`t pleased with these players being signed. I`m sure that Peter Lawell was pleased to capture them.
As for yesterday I would have preferred to see the passing game continued with until the final whistle but a few half chances were made just at the end with the `hail mary` approach.
As ever it`s on to the next game. One game from a broken crest? :-)

ian...the manager has been going on for months saying he knows what the problem is...but yesterday for me showed did he have the answer?

his signings...jaro has never played in his correct role, rioirdon just disnny seem to be his cup of tea...i.e a striker that scores.....and the grav..well

oor passing game went up the swany as soon as donati went of...

still...next week is a toughie now...but..after reading gs comments he seems to think we played well...oh dear..

Oh oh

Missed the game as at friend's post engagement party 'hair of the Dog lunch. Read a lot on here (obviously) and just read the CQN thread and it appears to have been pretty much poor fare.

Not saying he should be punted as manger yet, but no one can now say that his team is being held back by the legacy of MON.

Surely by bringing on Killen as he did to partner JVOH, he must have realised would be as effective as the Sutton - BBJ partnership. THAT I do not understand, without having seen the game and knowing that we play tactics which make it very difficult for our wide players to hit the byeline to pull crosses over??!!??

It`s all about playing in a way to score goals. I`m not sure that the Bhoys have got that figured out and playing against organised defences there is a tendency to go down blind alleys. It`s a matter of being strong willed. The mantra could be:
We will not be put off our stride!

baldy i'll join you in the hearty hangover stakes...but mine is from saturday....pah!!

i'm not calling for the manager to be sacked...he deserves a chance...but it's his team...his signings and soley his decisions...he is accountable...

killen was brought on for the hail mary's at the end of the game...not to get on the end of full backs crosses..as you say, oor full backs dont cross the ball

now..a rumour....was talking to a women that i work wie who was in toronto on her hols last week..one of the party she was wie is a trainer in the gym shaun maloney uses back up here....

while on the maid of the mist who did they bump into...wee shaun..according to her shaun is defo coming back has he done all but confirm it to them...

oh by the way...she is a h*n so would have no reason to make this up and she has mentioned the trainer to me before...

probably baws...remember ma ross tokely rumour...

oh, the h*ns are talkitive today eh?

Would be a very happy bhoy if Shaun comes back.

As long as CQN/Celtic do not make him out to be the prodigal son etc and that him leaving was all his fault. I believe there were faults from all sides over Shaun's departure.

Headache beginning to subside after lunch. Can't believe the bar manager of the hotel in Aberdeen was selling Woodford's Special Reserve as £2,20 a shot, while the JD was more expensive. Doh!!!!

The hangover was well and truly earned.8>)

Unfortunately, the Killie 2 banks of 5 plus an on-form goalie is the norm of what we will be facing in 90% of the matches this season.

This is nothing new so the worry is that despite having a more dynamic midfield, we have not yet figured out the way of making many clear cut chances.

Naka was brought on yesterday in the hope of getting something either from a free kick or a corner (hence to two big men up front).
Surely that can't be our best tactic, especially playing at home?

The return of Shaun? He can definately give us an inventive spark IF he can find his form of 2 years ago - how big an IF is that, I don't know.

One thing is for sure, GS is here for the season - like it or lump it.

great point....why have we not worked oot how to create chances against a system we play nearly every week?

after the newcastle game...i said everything that i saw wrong could be sorted on the training ground or by gaining more match sharpness.

having two bigmen upfront is akin to the route one stuff peddled by the tfod so far this season where there tactic seems to be hit lee- the new davie dodds- mcculloch and pick up the second baw.

not pretty...and not the sort of game we were promised...mind you...lee disnny let lesser players bully him oot the road...unlike jvoh...

again...lost post there...everything i saw wrong yesterday can be fixed by personnel changes and hard work on the training ground

whether the manager agrees is what we need to find oot..but we better hope he makes his mind up soon?

did he not say if yer not on the same page then players would be oot the team?

some decisions to be made.
