Quote of the season so far?
Reading the article in the herald today, the one, which is so far up David Murray’s arse that it gives his ego the massaging that his egotistical nature wanted, demanded, expected after him announcing a £2.7m sponsorship deal for the Scottish egg chasers.
When he was talking about Scotland’s secret shame, not an orange away top, or pre-match entertainment that makes “Last Night Of The Proms” look like a scouts picnic or peddling and exploiting bigotry, he has decided that Scotlands secret shame is drug abuse, alcohol abuse and obesity.
So, when the mint was taken to task over this, obviously by a journo who didnae come doon on the last moonbeam and asked if his Murray International Catering was going to stop fleecing the fans by selling “Bluenose Pies” the mint said this
"They are weight watcher's pies, they are half the size they used to be,"
Half the pie for the full price and judging by you tube, if offended by cheap humor then don’t watch the clip, they certainly don’t work.
Mind you David is probably dinning on succulent lamb, sliding doon a moonbeam while counting his takings from the ticket office call center, the ibrox car park and the catering department to be bothered about that.

Funnily enough but completely lacking in charity :-( I remarked to my wife that Murray has recently been attacked with an ugly stick. His statement about Scotland`s real shame was pathetic and laughable. Or as the press would say, `laudable`. :-)
more laughable comments from sir minty.
wot was the story about magic, i couldn't find it either.
p.s. reg comment on last thread about brown's behaviour i love a bit of gallusness as well
Half-size weightwatcher pies?
Is that the real reason BigBadJohn snubbed Ibrox?
Anybody else think Minty is only charging 1/2 price for them? Me neither.
However, I don't see much wrong with hime putting 2.7M into Scottish rugby. Better that than giving it to the Waistcoat and FatBoySlim-McCoist.
But at the end of the day:
"What the hell do we care now?"
The Miny has been investing pennies into the SRU for a while now.
Carnegie International and Murray International Metals have both been sponsoring Glasgow and Edinburgh at different times in the past.
Not being an accountant or knowing much about the tax system, will Murray not be able to offset this sponsorship against his taxes, so in effect he will not be spending that much?
See the youths won 19-nil in Italy. Lucky there then!!
