Celtic Fall In The Clyde And Come Oot Wie A Salmon
Tonight, we can breathe a collective sigh of relief as a support. A fine that is going down rapidly, what is it now £12,500, a set of trackies, couple of training baws and a set of bibs and suspended for two years depending on whether Glesga gets less than 300 days rain in the next 24 months.
Not like UEFA to make anything simple but I really so think we have got off lightly, very lightly as I expected a bigger fine. Oor thanks should be winging there way to Dida for being an arse and also to Milan for their suitably embarrassed reaction.
While oor reputation and the fact as the Sky Sports reporter said “UEFA likes us” has played a big part in this it still disnae stray from the fact that I think UEFA have let us off lightly and, again, missed the opportunity, like they have done on numerous occasions concerning racism and bigotry to hammer home the message that wrong doing off the park will not be tolerated.
But I’m glad for it, on this occasion.
Forza

Thing is we will have to be squeaky clean now.
Also, I think UEFA should stand firm on their 2 game ban. It will make cheats think twice about the theatrics.
Looking forward to Benfica away game now
:o)
Allez les verts et blancs!

Yes, thank goodness that this is out of the way. Enjoy the internationals, I`ll be doing something else(?) in Roma. La dolce vita senza un gusto amaro!
:-)
Six- yes squeaky clean, very squeaky clean..i just hope UEFA don't send delegates to the squares of Lisboa and Milan in the next few match days for sight seeing.....coz if the Doumo(sp) square was as bad as the last time....
Dida i don't think should have been punished, the ridicule he has had since the "incident" for me is enough.
He won't be remembered as a European Champ or a World Champ but a cheat. That was enough for me and anyway Meelan will appeal and it will get reduced...
Enjoy yer break Ian...
A result in my eyes, low fine but was surprised to hear Ian Wright when I was driving home to Baldy Towers so angry on talksport last night.
He rightly pointed out that yet again a UK team gets hammered financially when the Continentals get off whith a few thousand Euro fines for what he sees the far greater crime of rascism. He has a point, but I think as most Celtic fans who remember Rapid (just I was 10 at the time and remember it was an eejit from Cv that throw the bottle) we're just relieved it's all over.
Seems the twins will be out for a while from what I can gather.
Enjoy your weekend folks.
Cv = Coventry
Which twins would that be Baldy?
JJPD, Wilson, Caulwell, Hartley,...?
No many lookalikes there, need some more clues!
JJPD
Known as Jean pierre and Joel Doumbe for some reason on the Huddleboard. Hence the twins.
Sorry my bro emailed me with the news and I just automatically presumed everyone knew him by the polite Huddleboard moniker
Read the news regarding the twins, out for the season maybe? More worried aboot how bad is Caldwells injury...turn up for the books that willing Caldwell to be fit to play RB at Ipox.....
Think we knew this could come back and bite us on the arse...wonder if Adam Virgo is dusting doon his boots!!!!
For once agree wie Ian Wright..racism, bigotry and violence seem to be meet wie less fines.
Away for beer..if anything of interest comes up will post...
He's always been known as Joe Doumbe in our house. Maybe a severe case of triplets here!
RB is a worry not just for Ipox but also for Benfica. What are the options if Caldwell misses it - O'Dea, Caddis, ... Did McManus not start out at full back?
when mcmanus first broke into the team he played a few games at left-back and o'dea has played there a few times but asking either of them to play on the right would be a hard shift.
mcmanus will def be at centre half.
hopefully caldwell will make it tho, if we we are struggling.
sorry that should say, if not we are struggling.
Big Mick stated in an interview a few months back that he had never played full back in his playing life until MON stuck him in there against Aberdeen.
Don't think Mick will be an option, worryingly did GS no play Teddy Bjarnson there in pre-season.....
We canny also throw Caddis in....
worrying times
decided to put Scotland on ma fixed odds so i have an interest in the game..even money at home not a bad bet....
