Lotw Diary- The Sheepies

Now that the International break is over, the Hoops return to action against the stuttering Dons. Wie a most important Champions League game in the midweek and wie maybe some walking wounded returning from Euro glory and failure an interesting tie lies ahead.

21/11/2007- Evening Times- Naka and Jvoh.

Lotw Comment- I’ll start wie JVOH. The Dutch Craig Beattie is injured again. He really should be nicknamed Bruno, after Frank, due to the fact Frank was the only other sportsmen I can remember wie joints made of glass. He is really on a shaky peg now.

Nakamura is paying for two seasons non stop, returning from injury to quick and his fatigue sapping workload when on international duty. Thank god for Aiden.

21/11/2007-Celtic Fc- Riordon scores for reserves.

Lotw Comment- Deek confirms his status as unused sub on Saturday by looking interested at glum and driech Kilmarnock. Better than spending time looking at hooses in the black country, i suppose.

22/11/2007- The Post - Jeanette Findlay nee Krankie Stands Up

Lotw Comment- So Jeanette carries on fighting the good fight, in her eyes anyway, by telling the daily ragger to feck off. Pity she didnae say that to Nicky Campbell before landing on the wheel of misfortune that her “mild remarks” have got her in.

22/11/2007- The Herald and the BBC- Hutton and England

Lotw Comment- Maaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwww, Roberto Dider Cafu Hooton to Man Who, Spurs, Newcastle or Citee.....maaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww......McLaren and Engurland, Euro 2008 champions elected are oot.

22/11/2007- Celtic Fc- Skippy

Lotw Comment- "Skippy, Skippy, the huns hate you noo..." the wee man states that we are now entering the most important part of the season. 12 games between now and the 5th Jan. Mentions the need to keep on scoring goals...no mention of the fact that blogger here will be £10 doon if he scores two more goals.....are we watching the birth of a legend or the new Zurawski?

22/11/2007- Team Talk - Elvis on the Vegas Trail

Lotw Comment- Above the collective groaning from the rank and file, i'm sure you can hear oor manager welcoming back his favourite pupil will the line "He's a right guid player" Luckily enough, we have two right guid players- in Mick and JFK- in front of him.

23/11/2007- Celtic Fc - Gordon on Sheep

Lotw Comment- No, he is not been caught on a sheep as such but he is saying that he expects a "fit" and an Aberdeen side wie a "good shape" aboot them. Guid job as their manager team has a sort of rounded oot of shape look. He also states the logic that "if you win more tackles and pass the ball better, it’s not about tactics. It’s about good players and being able to pass the ball – simple as that.”- This fitba' management lark is simple eh?

23/11/2007- BBC - Magic and Bruno Hesslelink in Squad.

Lotw Comment- What the Hesslelink....Bruno makes it and has the cheek to say he has had “two and a half weeks of rest”- mair like 6 months- and that “I always try to give 100%. Sometimes you play well, sometimes not, but you must always work hard." Wonder if he has told Magic that as well.....and i wonder if someone has told him?

Updates to follow.....

Forza

Let`s hope for a good match with a Celtic win on Saturday. Last night at Wembley was a rerun of a Celtic v Aberdeen match three years ago. :-(

Evening all

Just been looking on CQN beforehand to see the 'Collective's' Fall-out over Jeanette's unfortunate interview.

Heard it live as for some reason my car radio was on radio 5 that morning and I have to say I cringed as I realised that she had walked into the trap that Campbell had set for her.

She came across articulately, however she was always on a loser when Campbell ambushed her and she took the bait. What she said was IMO factually correct, however that is not what counts in these days of spin and half truths.

Your post Kevin regarding the Symphony was very quick, however I fear that the 'Collective' will spin their way out again.

Last night went out and watched the Eng-er-land match with some mates in the local Sports Bar again. First time that drinking out at night with that lot was an enjoyable experience when an England match was on. Not because of the result, but because they just seemed so much more chilled than for a long time (i.e the fans). Don't know if it was because it was a school night, but no hint of trouble what so ever considering the place was packed. Fair play to them considering the resuult for their team.

Still, a scalpel would be unable to remove the smug smile off my face this morning!!

hail hail

Kevin,
I spied your raid on CQN. I understand that some supporters like to celebrate their Irish roots at Celtic matches. However the club (in cahoots with TFOD) is involved in all these initiatives. All of these traditional links are getting to be embarrassing.
As a lapsed Scottish proddy I can quite happily go along with an alternative culture at Celtic, it`s part of the fun it`s a GIRUY to the rest of the clubs in Scotland. We have to stand up for ourselves you know!
Forza i bhoys!

Seven Stewart left Fawkirk on bad terms and i'm sure he was in court a few weeks back for fighting ootside Behind The Wall.

Baldy Regarding JF, i completely agree wie you, her point- on a complicated subject- was badly made and naive but in the circs and the media angke they were going for there was only going to be one outcome.

Hindsight in that situation should have brought Campbell to task why he brought up the subject.

The fall oot on CQN as i said turned it into the Celtic branch of Follow Follow. Bigoted, Sexist and anti tolerant...abuse...no more.

Nice to see some carrying the fight onto the colective but if u don't follow the party line on there ur doomed.

The Celtic symphony quip. Was wriggled oot of quickly, by the adaptly named Mr Angry!!!, and made me doubt- and burnt ma dinner- trying to find the more than 90 mins i had read a memeber of the wolftones say the song was comissioned.

I have just read on the GB site that it was commisioned as well....i'm confused now...need clarification.

I'm sure you enjoyed yer bevvy Mr B...

Ianinjesi It wisnny a raid, it was a coupe..

You have been posting here, well since the embers were cast, and have we seen the first chink of what makes you tick?

The love of the alternative culture at the Hoops?:-0 The love of the wind up?:-)

Welcome aboard..as another lapsed Scottish proddie, no, i was never going to be anything other than i've turned oot:-0 faitherG's fault,i do enjoy celebrating oor heritage.

The Reason...if we didnae have it we would be a bigger version of Partick Thistle, which is the future i think if we dilute oor Irish identity anymore.

The PLC play on it when the "brand" needs promoted in Ireland...and also their social charter plays on this as well.

While i say i celebrate oor hertiage and take an interest in the politics that's not to say i don't know what is acceptable and what is not.

This week has shown me that some in oor support are intolerant of others views something i never thought i would see in oor support to such great extent.

Division has always been there but usually all going in the same direction.

Time to remember that we need to satnd up for oorselves bhoys as no one else will esp the PLC...

Right had a break from the PC to watch HFW on Channel 4 catch his dinner.

As a lapsed 'season ticket holder', my name is on the ticket but a friend pays for it and sits in 'my' seat, the collective on CQN and revisionism contained within started to do my goat after WGS signed.

Reading through posts at lunchtime, I saw posts denegrating MON because Carson was his keeper at Villa??!!? FFS!

If that is now what teh Collective feel a need to do, denegrate our greatest manger since Big Jock, call our away fans 'Bucky Fuelled Neds' etc, then they need to be taken to task.

As Paul says though, the way that will happen is to treat it like the 'Old Media' the only way to do it, is to ignore it. No oxygen they will die. Don't bother posting.

As can be seen many of the original posters no longer post. Few of the original posters bother any more (Mad Mitch, p8ddy, Hector Bandido) When the debate ends, where will the collective move onto?

Going to have to 'work' more from home so I can access more sites than I get presently when in the office.

Right hail hail

baldy
