So what is the gossip, the craic and the views.....
Day off for the tired bhoys
"The pressure of non-stop matches gets to everybody in the end. It's a lot for players and coaches to take in. There's a mental stress involved for the players." said oor wee ginja ninja. So does giving players the day's off to go oot on the swally, Wednesday is grab a grannie or trannie night in Karbon, allegedly, while last week he was berating the fact that he couldnae spend time on the training field at the luxurious Lennoxtoon wie the Bhoys make sense?
No, don't get it either....but he's the boss, he knows his players and their "right guid wans" according to the boss.
GS would like to be seven points clear
“I’d like to be seven points clear but we dropped two last week and we have to deal with that which we’ve done already and I think we dealt with it very, very well during the week.” The facade that we pushed the ghosts of the failure against St Mirren away, wie a 4-0 victory against Fawkirk is being peddled very hard by the Celtic PR machine.
As anyone will tell you who saw both games the only difference was that oor quality, the first names on the team sheet, the Aiden, the Skippy and the Broony, all had guid games. They don't play we don't have a plan B or C. Add to that the return of Donati against Fawkirk, which seemed to give us a mair creative edge.
While his performances have been hit or miss, which can be mockney rhyming slang for pish and that could sum up some of Massimos games...the stat is, in the last two games Massimo has started Celtic have scored 7 goals. If you add the Donestk game into that, he came on after 16 minutes and was Colin Nish but scored the winner, oor Italian Tommy Gravesan- soon to the returned Tommy G if the Daily Ragger is to be believed- when he has been involved the team has scored 9 goals.
Would he fancy Inversenkie in December? Would he take one look at the delights of the Kessoch Brig, the lumbering giants that ICT employ and decide that he would rather be shopping in Milan wie, i'm sure, his guid looking burd?
If he starts would he go the sameway as the Grav and Jiri faired on their first visit to the senkie-i.e sh*te?
The physical presence that the Senkie have and the FACT they are an in-form team means that the managers mithering that “They make it hard for us - sometimes we make it hard for ourselves - but I’d like to give them a bit more respect than that" rings as true as the bell tolls wherever yer nearest bell tolls.
Not, going to second guess the manager...but i am..it's a blog and a blogger is meant to give the impression that he knows what he is talking aboot. Injuries to Elvis and Ryan Conroy mean that, what i thought would be the GS plan, revert to the bigger physical back four wie O'Dea coming in at LB and Jiri returning to the left handside in place of Massimo, may not happen now. I would go on to say if that does happen then the managers take that "we make it hard for oorselves" very, very true.
We can guess one thing though, Deek will be an unused sub and Evander, despite bleating like a typical egotistical Dutchman- yer twenty big stuff and yer no playing for Den Hagg or Fc Twente...yer playing for the SELLLLICK, learning yer trade, yer a lucky man.....- will need to be wrapped up like a Eskimo fishing in Alaska sitting next to Deek on the bench.....at least he will have a chance to get on..even if it is on the right wing...

Oh my goodness! I was hoping for a comfortable win that will keep the Radio Scotland anti Celtic commentators in their place. Could this be a clean sheet? Also JVoH who does a lot of important defending for the team too, is due a goal or two.
Christmas cheer, I`ll be worrying enough come 2pm tomorrow!
Ianinjesi- good spot, faitherg said the exact samething regarding JVOH againsT fc kanus a few weeks back.
would rather he was sticking them in the pokey up the other end...when was the last time we scored from a corner...never seem to beat the first man now....
radio teucther will be looking to slap doon the nasty gloating taigs...Mr Begg has abstained from the mulled wine to ensure his throat is in perfect condition...
Scott Booth, on setanta will say that all oor midfielders should be scoring 15 to 20 goals a season...
80 goals from midfield?....behave...
I noticed that too about big Jan, but the question is, does he really need to be back tracking as much?
If he stays up oor end of the park when the opposition have a corner, they need at least two defenders on him, and we all know that Jan can move a lightning pace and fairly skelp the ball from 30 yards - a bit like that Ben Zema - even when there are a couple of Ben Nevis defenders on him.
Getting carried away there, sorry...
I think we could see Deek on at sometime tomorrow - he may be on the way out but he can produce the goods in a Milleresque kinda way.
I would think Frosty would be going out on loan after Crimbo, but knowing that Skoosh is banned from the first CL match, we might need all hands on deck.
Depends who arrives in January tho' and I'm not thinking of the balloon chasing boxerdug.
Today, we will find out if the Stankmonster XI have bouncebackability (unintentional wee joke there) but I think today's 3pts may have more to do with the minis' fabled liedownability whenever they go anywhere near gerland.
We'll see...
The festival of Benzem has ended wie the jam farts reverting to boring boring type....och well 45 mins to go....will they fight against liedownability
Sixtaeseven- i notice that we don't leave anyone up front...why don't we leave Skippy up there..who can run a bit and won't be fazed by ben nevis defenders..i mean you seen the size of the Aussie rule players? Geelong....
I widnae mind seeing Deek tomorrow but i fear, or evidence shows we will go for brawn over skinny ability tomorrow...
Andreas Hinkel, a full back by all accounts a couple of million euros....has GS found icanfixit ability...?
Andreas Hinkel sounds good to me -German international, can't be bad!
What's the score on his eligibilty for this year's CL tho' ?
Maccul-luck - completely out his depth in the CL, like a duck in water in the SPL.
:o(
Minihuns dire then (only saw the result) - goalie-itis again?
Never heard aboot the wining goal as i went to see the mighty verve last night and was oot and aboot before the final whistle....BUT
having seen the goals on setanta this morning a few questions...
After dealing wie everything we could chuck at them a few weeks back,,how come Concalves and Barra managed to look school boyish at the first goal and the second replaces Craig Gordons howler against us as the worst jam farts keeper mistake EVER....
Smith, Gordon and now Basso....Hearts hall of shame....
101 great goals, on link bar, has the goals....watch and disbelieve..
Macculluckitis indeed....
Great news..three guys from ma bus made their lift to the senkie this morning...another palm kept sweet for the purchasing of tickets...
sorry, it was Kurskis- should be Krapskis- that was in goal for the jam farts..Brasso has been wiped off after his Hartley mistake..
HT 1-2
After being in easy street at 2-0, we contrive to make life difficult again.
We have been very guilty of giving the ball away cheaply in midfield - with lots of culprits (Donati, Skoosh, ...).
ICT penalty came after Skippy give it back from half way line to the edge of the penalty box - putting Elvis under pressure and messing up by obstructing the ICT man - softish penaly but there you go!
Our goals: Jan good header from PH free kick and in the space of a minute he got a wee flick on an Aiden special from the edge of the box.
Good enough game, but a lot of scrappy spells.
One great save by Mark Brown, and young Conroy doing well enough so far.
Great to see a lot of the players in short sleeves!
Here in France, it would be all tights and headbands!!!
Points still to be won here!
FT 3-2
Well - they wanted it, we expected it.
Any more games like this and we can say bye bye to the league.
If I was being charitable, you COULD look to an element of bad luck...
First it was Jan off the post followed by a good headed ICT goal from a corner (2-2).
Next it was an offside skippy "goal"
followed by a defensive mix up between Mick and Conroy (3-2).
Even the red card (skippy felled when clean thru) with 20 to go wasn't enough.
A unbelievable Killen miss followed by a wonder save from the ICT goalie completed the hard luck story.
But at the end of the day, the team that fought for it deserved the points.
As for us, the League is starting to slip away I'm afraid.
Yet again today we gave the ball away cheaply over and over in the middle of the park.
Every team we play is playing their cup final.
We've got to start burying teams NOW - and not showboating at 2-0 up, Mr Broon (still a lot to prove in my book)!!!
Losing 3-2 after being 2-0 up is not a good situation for a person to live through but of course we are much stronger people now! :-)
It`s happened to every team and probably not a new experience for the players we`ve signed from Hibs, Hearts, ICT and AC Milan. I remember the league game at Celtic park where Hearts won and losing two goal leads against Motherwell and Rangers. That`s life and the wonder of it!
I forgot, :-(
i missed the first 25 mins, right it wisnny a pen, we had two pens denied we had a goal chopped off for feck all.....
BUT..............
i meet alan thompson tonight....mair tomorrow......
forza
ET confirming Aiden banned for the Huns match
Ahhh bollox
Curiouser and curiouser.
Booked for defending himself!
Black was kicking lumps out of everything that moved - booked? yer joking!
I suppose an appeal is out of the question?
Aye, big Jock was right, it's not enough to be better than them - we've got to be MUCH better.
Unfortunately, we aren't
:o(
Match report tomorrow, it's half written but busy busy....feeding reindeer, working, oot for dinner, nursing a hangover...xmas lights...pals 21st Birthday- celebrated wie a Kaliber....
Yes, Aiden...do you know he has been booked mair times than Roberto Hooton, that thug in blue?
Aiden has picked up a lot of petty bookings, but going into the derby wieoot Boruc, Aiden and Naka....
HELP MA BOAB....
wonder who the MIB is that day...
It`s a weekly kick fest that Aiden has to endure. His only protection has come in CL matches!
I saw the highlights of the match. Their penalty was a complete joke, the Bhoys were denied a stone waller when JVoH was pushed but remember when Celtic win something they do it for themselves!
Forza
Of course I meant `by themselves!`
In the once upon a time very good World Soccer Hutton was called, wait for it, the White Cafu.
I know, it`s a bit outrageous. :-)
Scott Brown,
can he start to show consistency? He always had something to say to our players when he was at Hibs but can he perform every week and prove to be an able replacement for these players? I think that he can be more consistent but he still has much to prove!
i would like to see Brown get a run in the middle instead of being shifted to the right to accomodate others.
sooner the transfer window opens the better but how much will we have to spend and who will strachan bring in.
i think we are in serious need of a bit of quality in that team and naka's injury only highlight's this.
terrible dropping 7 points from the last 12 available and we are making it very hard for ourselves.
hibs and dundee utd won't be easy either.
so kev wot was thommo saying then?
