Bhoys v Bears - Preamble
And so Wattie's juggernaut finally arrives down Parkhead way.
By a sequence of strange circumstances (and there have been a few of those already this season, n'est-ce pas) we have already visited Ipox twice this year on league duty, losing on both occasions.
Those two losses don't fully account for the points gap at the top of the SPL table: we are chasing with 4 points behind having played 2 games more.
So virtually 10 points.
However, a win for the Tic tonight would bring that down to a slightly more respectable gap.
Although last weekend's 4-1 gubbing of Motherwell was most enjoyable, the truth is we are running out of games. After tonight we go into the split, meaning we have just 5 games left: all of them tough, all of them crucial.
At the end of the day, tonight is an absolute must-win for Celtic. The Hun, on the other hand - thanks to Wattie's pact with the devil (I can't find any other logical explanantion for their run this season) - can afford to lose this one.
They will play their infamous Wattenachio, which has repelled a few decent teams this season, and hope to sneak their usual goal against the odds.
What we have to be concerned about is which Celtic will turn up?
Will Gordon deviate from his 442 or replace one or two of his underperforming favorites (Naylor, in particular springs to mind)?
Against Motherwell there were signs that we had suddenly remembered who we are and what we can do (especially in that first 45 minutes we killed the game with 3 first-half goals).
An early goal for us could be decisive. We need every player to go into tonight's game fired up, confident in our ability to win this, and ready to fight for 90 odd minutes.
Tonight's team, if Hartley gets over his injury scare, should be the one that started last time out:
BorucHinkel, Caldwell, McManus, Naylor
Nakamura, Hartley, Robson, McGeady;
Jan, Skippy
If Hartley misses out, and with Skoosh suspended, anybody fancy Donati in there ... Sno, then ?
Only a fool makes predictions about these games blah blah, so I will rush in:
Celtic to win by 2 goal margin.

Sorry, about late Preamble post, lhads: but I was staring at a blank page for sooooo long.
Quietly confident...
We just need the Bhoys to take their chances.
I had a look at some of the you tube links on CQN and the hardness and determination of players like Balde, Thommo, Lenny, Agathe, Sutton, Larsson and Hartson stood out.
Hopefully the present team want to emulate the success of the these players and are prepared to play like them.
Come on the Celts!
Come on the Bhoys!
Forza
They are showing this game on replay tonight in the USA, and I am making it appointment viewing. Best of luck to the Bhoys. The league title looks fat in blue, but trim and fit in green.
