Celts v Sheepies, Scottish Cup 1/4 Final Replay: Preamble

Seems like a decade since the Tic last played.

The Bhoys will have had plenty of time to contemplate on the 2 dropped points against DU, missing out on a Hampden showpiece, and watching as the final stages of this year's European tournaments unfold.

Still, the glamour of the Cup can provide the perfect opportunity to get back into gear, while leaving aside for a minute the shambolic battleground that is the SPL.

So, it's Aberdeen again (fifth meeting, is it now?) and possibly we can consider ourselves fortunate to be getting another go at them.

A win tonight tho' would virtually assure us of a place in the final, as the semi-final against Queen of the South "should be" a formality (no disrepect to the QoS'ers intended, who must be over the moon to have done so well already).

My team would be:
Artur
Hinkel Mick Caldwell Wilson
Nakamura Brown Hartley Aiden
Sammy Jan
with plenty of hunger and power on the bench as well.

Barry Robson is cup-tied, otherwise he would have been in my team instead of Naka.

It will be my fault now if Naka plays a blinder
:o)

C'Mon the Celtic!!!

Like sixtae, I dinny ken whether it’s the fact that it has been eons since the hoops played and dropped points but I’m really really looking forward to this tonight. I’m optimistic and worried- we could lose this quite easily- but ma new prescription of Prozac is working and I’m feeling up for this one.

Interesting point regarding oor last two draws, Sheep and Utd- The New Firm- on Etims today both have come after we were given the run around by Barca. Inferiority complex effecting the Bhoys maybe but they really need to shake oot of it.

As the Elvis Mafia said it’s time to “Take Care Of Business” and for the Hoops to lay doon a marker for the next dozen oor so games.

2-0 Hesslelink first goal 14-1 at larbrokes…..
