Gretna v Celtic - Preamble
Celtic go into this game 6 points behind, so you could say the pressure is on.
But the pressure is on for the remaining 10 games of the season: all league games in our case, 3 of which are against the hun, 3 against Motherwell, and the rest, well you're guess is as good as mine.
If anything the Gretna game is the one with the least pressure, as it should be a guaranteed 3pts and a chance to improve the goal difference .
This isn't based on past results against them, or the fact that they are virtually in meltdown, or the fact that we have more than 10 times more SPL points than them.
It is due to the cold realisation that we don't have the choice.
Anything less than 3pts and our season is finished.
To be honest, anything less than 3pts against Gretna, and the team and manager should be hounded out the country.
Hopefully, an early goal will open the floodgates and we could score a few.
A lot depends on whether Jekyll or Hyde turns up tomorrow (although, in saying that Hartley often starts games looking like the good doctor and finishes them looking like his doppelganger is ready for a bit of midnight rambling).
My team? I would throw caution to the wind with three up front, three at the back, and Artur coming up for all the corners.
Artur
Hinkel Mick Naylor
Nakamura Brown Hartley Aiden
Sammy Jan Deeks
Plenty of goalscoring talent on the bench as well.
C'Mon the Bhoys - time to lay down a marker!

Meant to say: Robson to replace Naka at some point to get ready for next week.
I have pencilled in Robson as my man to test the integrity of the Uncarded One's glass ankle - my Silent Assassin.
:o)
Getting into the match early and scoring early would be the best way for Celtic to approach this game. No messing!
Forza
I am a bit worried that the general feeling aboot this game seems to be focusing on GD rather that just getting the three points.
We have been missing chances and but we are going through a second blip- first one was in December- and for you to get oot of blips you need a bit of luck, a deflected shot, a stramash in the box or a wonder goal to set you up for the result.
We have been missing that for weeks.
I’m looking for a reaction from Tuesday night. A reaction from the manager that he realizes that he needs to freshen things up and a reaction from the players who realizes that they are selling us short.
Agree would like to see us score early.
Sure GS will stick wie has tried, tested and failing 442 system but hoping he mixes up the cards in the starting 11. Hartley needs to return and I would play Robson from the start.
Reason? Well, Gretna are playing for their careers and a decent workmanlike showing- like Dundee Utd and Aberdeen before- will cause us problems and will ensure that in front of a massive TV audience that the watching Morton, Hamilton or Dundee scout might like what he sees from some of the Black and White players.
Another game that will be Fitba v Anti Fitba….
Never said, I feel Robson will be UP for the meaty midfield battle rather than Naka.
Fight for the right to play! can I lower the average by saying that I`m for winning the points. The GD thing isn`t mentioned here!
Come on the Bhoys!
(Woke up early this morning thinking of this game, no mistakes Celts!)
Happy Easter! :-)
I`m just saying this so that the players` attitude to the game is correct. (as you do)
It`s not a depleted Gretna this week but a full team that we will play. I still think that the Celts can do it!
Come on the Bhoys!
Feck me, still nae Hartley, Robson comes in for Donati and the struggling Skippy continues up front.
Ian: this is the only site, i read that disnny think that today is going to be a walkover.
Empty stadium, us struggling to take chances and the pressure on.
Mon The Hoops
I think that Hartley is recovering from illness but then again, he was the player at the Friday press conference.
We have to go for it, three points Celts!
On the bench: Brown, O`Dea, Sno, Samaras, Hartley, Killen and Riordan.
Half time and it`s been murder to listen to. The team has to push on in the second half.
Come on Celtic!
Second half was murder too! Job done though!
3-0
3 points but still no bite in the tackle.
Tactics; are there any - except give the ball to Aiden and hope he can beat two men and cross it in the middle.
There is something not right with this team and this is the first time since MON's first visit to Snake Mountain as manager, that I have been so apprehensive in us playing there.
I think that Scott McDonald has withdrawn from the Australia match against China.
Free Tibet! :-)
Free Tibet indeed:-)
